The focus in drama is on communication, creativity, self-discipline, cooperation and leadership. Drama carefully integrates selected theater skills into a program incorporating role playing, improvisation, creative movement, mime, presentation, script work, problem-solving, masks, and puppetry. Material is drawn from sources that include plays and playwrights, novels, books, drawings, personal experience, and often integrated with academic curriculum for a deepened perspective on a variety of topics. Polished presentations and public performances are encouraged.
